So much more than just what’s in the glass, wine is geology, culture, and history. It is talent, chemistry, terroir, and good fortune. In one single sip, lifetimes of knowledge and hard work come together in anticipation of the first taste of a particular vintage.
I have written a weekly informational blog post for Quini Wine, a tasting app that encourages individual palate preferences. I have also written for a number of individual wine merchants, researching everything from Recoltant Manipulant “grower-producer” Champagnes to Brettanomyces yeasts, and types of glassware. It’s fun. It’s interesting. And, dare I say, I thoroughly enjoy the research.
